LiDAR / Laser scanning Services
LiDAR is a tool to model the earth’s surface in detail. SBL offers LiDAR services,
extracts Digital Terrain Models (DEMs) for high resolution orthophoto
production, Fly-through generation, Cut and Fill calculations for engineering
projects like dams, tunnels and roads. LiDAR Services are also useful in
modeling systems like oil and gas pipelines for maintenance and status
evaluation.
LiDAR applications are commonly used for topographic mapping and automatic
feature extraction and for making DEM's. Applications are being established for
forestry assessment of canopy attributes with ongoing researches for evaluation
of crown diameter, canopy closure, and forest biometrics.
Additional uses
for wireless communication design, coastal engineering and survey assessments,
and volumetric calculations demonstrate the enhanced value of LiDAR Services and
LiDAR data collection / processing.
