The GIS specialist team that leads SBL consists of:

Mr. Pradeep Kumar

(Senior Manager – Geomatics/ Business Development)

Pradeep Kumar is a post graduate in geography and a Microsoft certified Professional (MCP). He is trained from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehra Dun and has worked on a variety of national and enterprise level GIS, spatial analysis, data capture and processing projects. He has up-to-date technical knowledge as well as familiarity with current IT trends and industry specific needs which makes him a real path finder in the team. He is also a success oriented team-player who delivers on commitments and thrives on challenges and the opportunity to apply a wide range of skills.

He has served as a GIS specialist in the Kerala Forest Research Institute, Senior Research Coordinator for the Kerala Forest Department’s India Ecodevelopment Project and as Director of GIS at RECESS, an environmental research NGO. At present, he adorns our Geomatics wing as Senior Manager.

Dr. Arun P.R, PhD

( Head, Geomatics )

Arun, our Geomatics Head, is a Geo-scientist and an active researcher in earth and environmental sciences. He currently steers our Geomatics Division and has an enormous experience in implementing geospatial technologies. At SBL, he is responsible for team co-ordination, project planning, design methodologies and implementation. He served 10+ years in the Centre for Earth Science Studies and Soil Survey Organization of Govt. of Kerala and has a deep knowledge in geological mapping, geological survey and GIS database management.

Arun is keen to adopt new technologies and methods to ensure precision and quality in the geospatial services of SBL. He brings in a wealth of managerial experience and important relationships to support SBL’s growth plans and strategies.

Mr. Vivek.K.S

Project Manager, Photogrammetry

Vivek, our Project Manager in Photogrammetry, is a Geologist and an experienced photogrammetrist. He currently steers our Photogrammetry Division and has an enormous experience in implementing various Photogrammetry projects. At SBL, he is responsible for team co-ordination and project planning. He served 11 years in the Centre for Earth Science Studies and DSM Soft, Trichy and has a deep knowledge in remote sensing, geological mapping, geological survey and GIS database management. He has hands on experience in Digital Photogrammetry and GIS tools in Windows.

Mr. Thomas Philip

Project Manager

A highly talented and result- oriented Civil Engineer with a great deal of skill in Civil Engineering and Photogrammetry field. Experienced in Aerial Triangulation, collecting, analyzing and interpreting geographic information provided by geodetic surveys, aerial photographs, and satellite data. Experienced in all phases of digital mapping, including but not limited to, Digital Terrain Modeling (DTM) and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) collection, and digital planimetric and topographic data collection for GIS/LIS mapping applications. A motivated team leader who possess keen eye for details together with professional skills like analytical, planning, organizing, supervision, technical correspondence, time management and communication.

Mr. Jomy Simon

Project Manager (Spatial Data)

Jomy, our Project Manager in Geomatics a dynamic person specializing in GIS and Quality Assurance. He currently heads our CAD projects and has an enormous experience in implementing geospatial technologies. At SBL, he is responsible for team co-ordination, project planning, design methodologies and implementation. He served 6 years in DSM Soft and has a deep knowledge in utility mapping, parcel mapping, civil and mechanical drafting.

Mr. Biju V.S

( Project Manager- Remote Sensing )

Biju is responsible for machinating the remote sensing with modern industry standards. He has 7+ years of experience in Remote Sensing, GIS, Photogrammetry and CAD systems. His areas of expertise are Cartography, Network Analysis, Statistical and Spatial analysis. Prior to SBL, he served at the Centre for Environment and Development, Soil Survey Organization and Information Kerala Mission. Biju is an expert geographer and has an extended knowledge base by way of advanced training from premier institutes such as Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) and Survey of India.

Mr. Sreejith K.S

( Project Leader - Application Development )

Sreejith leads the Application Development team for customization and development of applications for geospatial industry. He is skilled in the development of custom GIS applications (both desktop and Web), application development using Arc Objects and Map Objects and meets specific requirements using J2SE, J2ME, J2EE, Visual Basic 6.0, VB.Net. Sreejith is a Computer Science and Engineering Graduate and has earlier worked in the Geomatics Lab at the Directorate of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Unit, Govt. of Kerala.

Mr. Manu .V

( Project Manager - Spatial Data )

Manu is managing a team of professionals in the sector of geospatial data design and management. He has seven years of experience in spatial data modeling and analysis. His former employers were Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Center and Centre for Earth Science Studies. Manu is a graduate in Mathematics and Computer Applications.

Mr. Vibin Lal .C.H

( GIS Engineer - GPS)

A post graduate in Geography, earlier he has worked with Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Center, Thiruvananthapuram. He is gifted with the know-how in using high precision GPS for monitoring long-term ground movements in engineering, environmental and geophysical applications. At SBL, he works as a GIS Engineer

Mr. Agilesh Kumar. M

( GIS Engineer – Business GIS )

Agilesh Kumar channelizes the talents of his team members to analyze market scenarios, census data, consumer statistics etc. and collaborate with other peers to assure proper consideration of customer requirements. As an Economist and GIS expert, Agilesh has proven his excellence in demographic and economical analysis using geospatial technologies. Before joining SBL, he worked with the Society for Social and Environmental Research, Bhoumik and Indra Graphics.

Mr. Joshua Mathai

( Project Leader - Spatial Analysis )

Joshua Mathai leads our Geospatial Analysis wing. A graduate in Computer Science, Joshua has accomplished the task of building and updating digital databases of several Geographic Information Systems. He has 5+ years of experience in the Center for Earth Science Studies of Government of Kerala. Joshua has also worked in the First Indian Corporation (FIC), Bangalore and was a team member of the project ‘Flood data analysis for US’.
